factory head unit problems

I have a in-dash 6 disk cd player but everytime I attempt to place a cd into it the door will not open to putt the cd in, is there anything I can do to fix this problem before I take it to a professional?

look for a reset button somewhere on the face. It will be a small round inset button.

try disconnecting the ground from the battery for like 10 min or so.
