Intake manifold for 2000 Trans Am
Hi all,
I have a 2000 Trans Am and have a question about my intake manifold. I was reading a post on another forum that said some 2000 TA came with an ls6 intake and some did not. How can I tell if I got lucky here? All I could find on the intake was the number 12560688. P.S. I tried to do a search to find this info without asking but I keep getting an SQL query error. |

Re: Intake manifold for 2000 Trans Am
It was pretty much 02 LS1's that were in the lottery for the LS6 manifolds.

Re: Intake manifold for 2000 Trans Am
A good way to check is to see if the intake manifold in question has EGR or not. LS6 intake manifolds have no provisions for the EGR, but the LS1 manifolds do.
OR You could take the manifold off and see if the bottom is curvy or flat. Flat = LS6, curved = LS1. OR Call the dealership and give them your VIN and they can tell you OR Look at the part number on the top, driver's side of the manifold. |
