05 fuel lever sensor bad

My 05 TB gas guage quit working a day after I got back from a trip down south and the shop told me it was the lever sensor in the gas tank.
Is this an easy thing to replace or is it pretty involved?
I have changed a fuel pump in my 97 Monte Carlo before but never nothing this new.Just not sure what all I need.....is it the whole fuel pump, sending unit or is there just a sensor? The shop said $125 for the part is that about rite? any comments will be helpful !!!!

Re: 05 fuel lever sensor bad

well, if you are gonna have it out anyway, would replace with new pump, unless you wanna do job again when pump does go out....then again, it may never. to fix gauge issue, just new sensor is needed, but my paranoia tells me to replace pump since tank is out.
