Exhaust Question
I was wondering how much of a gain I would see if I had a custom made pipe that changes my mugen twin loop axle-back exhaust into a cat-back exhaust. Any input would be great, Thanks!

Re: Exhaust Question
Honda won a couple of F1 championships, and a variety of other bike and car racing titles in order to develop the intake and exhaust systems on their VTEC motors that allow them to perform so well.
They did such a good job on the B16 that the stock standard exhaust, intake and head design will support well over 200hp with only camshaft and ECU changes. So by adding a fancy after market exhaust all you are doing is making it sound bad, making it look bad, and potentially de-tuning it. If you want more power spend your money on a set of cams and a Hondata ECU, or a B18c swap.

Have you checked with the manufacturer of all the exhaust systems you were/are considering? That would be their big sales pitch. |
