Re: blazer emergency, will lose job

I will get you started.
But someone else may have to come in and help.
I only work day shift.
Basics first.
How is the fuel pressure?
Good clean fuel in tank?
Did old filter haver a lot of water or black stuff in it?
Have you set the base time with bypass wire disconnected?
Any codes? or Check engine lights?
Good hot blue spark to all plugs?
What kind of dist does it have?
Old type with big cap and vacume advance or newer style.
was anything else besides dist shaft replaced in dist?

Check the basics.
Good hot spark and fuel pressure and filter.
Any codes or check engine lights?
May be time to get the mechanic to check it over.
You may still have a problem in the dist.

Re: blazer emergency, will lose job

ight well it stopped running completely, acted like it was either not getting any spark at all or no fuel so i sprayed starting fluid in throttle body started up, it is not getting any fuel, i can hear the fuel pump but it is not getting any gas to the injectors, could a fuel filter be plugged that bad, and also it makes a um weird noise when i try and start it, the noise is coming from the engine not sure from where though it kind of grinds when i stop cranking, just put oil in 1 week ago, what could this noise be?

You can check for spark and fuel pressure.
But on the starnge noise.
Sounds like you need to have a good repair shop have a look at it.
