Re: need better engine

cant help you on your engine question.... it was too vague.... whats your budget? power goals? etc..

As far as your battery problem... sounds like you have an electrical draw somewhere... do you have an aftermarket stereo??

Re: need better engine

well my budget is around a couple of thousand so what is the best engine ican get for that in the end i want a turbo and what not upgrades for power but i cant find anything for the 1.8 litre sohc i was jus gonna upgrade my chip and fuel injection and upsize my pistons and what not but i wanna look into options for other engines first and yes i have an aftermarket stereo but it still kills batteries even when i unhook it

Re: need better engine

for a couple grand... you wont find a motor... look into doing things to your excisting motor...

As far as the Battery... Im assuming you have an aftermarket head unit as well? un plug that... it could be drawing too much power even with the car shut off

Re: need better engine

Im assuming the second battery is for the stereo? i would say the problem lies somewhere in the wiring for that

Re: need better engine

ok, well let me give you some advice... dont bother hooking up a second batery... cuz unless your making an all out competition ready stereo.. you wont need one... upgrade the Alt, get a Cap, and you should be good to go...
