95 3.4 monte trans solenoid

I know this has been answered before but i cant find the thread. when the car is cold i dont have a problem. after it warms up it acts like it wants to shift out of overdrive. if you shift it into drive by hand it still acts like it wants to shift. That sounds to me like the shift solenoid, Right ? If thats the case would someone run down what needs to be done to get at it. I know it is behind the tranny side cover. But other than that I'm lost. After axle is out and cover is off what am i looking for. Thanks for the help
