SS Line Connector

Just quick question. I have some SS line going from the thermostat housing to the coolant tank (since I don't have the actual hose that used to be there) and it fits perfect and I have clamped at the housing, but it's a little too big at the tank itself. It's a little loose. I have a small C-Clamp and T-Clamp on it but being SS Line, it's not shaping to the nipple right so it leaks a little. Is there anyway to stop it from leaking without making a new top from metal and welding SS connectors on? Any ideas? I have to stop the coolant leaking issue. It's always something. It pisses enough just to get on the alternator and cause the belt to slip.

The ss line on the coolant tank. I would try getting some heat shrink tubing and put that on the nipple, that would build but the nipple some and might be enough for the SS hose to connect to. You may have to put 2 pieces on there.

Cool. I was thinking like electrical tape or something but I know that wouldn't last. I always forget about heat shrink tubing. Should snug up the fit a little.

Electrical tape wouldn't work for shit. I would try the heat shrink, it should work, there is not pressure on that connection. Other than that you just would have to go buy the right size rubber hose. Do you like the look of the SS hose and thats why your trying to keep it?

Was making use of what I had. I had this aftermarket coolant tank that ended up pissing me off so I may have taken it off and threw it up against a brick wall and shattered it. So as a result, I went back to stock, and got everything except a stock hose for that part. I got lots of SS line laying around, so I used that. Looks decent too.

The car is going to be under 14 inches of snow when I get home tonight, so no pic for awhile. I was thinking the SS to radiator, but then I have to weld on fittings, or get that fake cover crap that I hate. I'm going to do my power steering in the SS also when I redo that and get that working.
