Help!!! My husband was trying to change the subframe bushing on the front passenger side and the weld from the washer above subframe broke and bolt head snapped off. Bolt just spins. My car has been down for almost a month now and I need sugggestions on how to get bolt out.

Re: Subframe bushings

I'm getting ready to do my friends Intrepid on the 1'st or 2'nd of March. If you haven't got yours fixed by then then I will see what it looks like it will take to do it and let you know. I'm sure it won't be too hard. Have a great day!!!!!

Try your local NAPA auto parts store, they have a kit(2 pc.) for $69 and change. The only other option is a dodge dealer (and they are real expen.) good luck...

Hi, I am in the process of doing the same... All the sub-frame bushings I have found online were for 1 set (1 upper and lower piece) and usually ran around $55.00 each. For 1 bushing...there is the upper part and the lower part, making 1. So, if buying them individually, would be around $220 for all 4 and you usually have to end up using your own steel cups they fit into.

I got lucky and found this website and it is a set of 4 uppers and lowers and we would still use the steel cups from our car, but they are only $139.00 for all four! Here's the link: http://polybushings.com/pages/LHMounts.html

The poly bushings are better than the "poly-foam" mounts the dealer has and actually makes a quieter ride!

Hope this helps!
