I need some help... Please everyone

I own my 2000 Z24 Convertible. I love it. But I have to admit though I hate to, Its been giving me problems on and off for awhile (first engine went, interior isn't too great, brake problem I'm dealing with now, leaks in rain, transmission is ify)... I found a very affordable 2003 LS Sport Cavalier. First off ecotec, Mid miles, flawless body and interior , stick (mine is auto), black just like I want, comes with the chrome alloys I was planning on getting for mine anyway, and this will hold out a lot longer then my z24 I have now would. And its price makes it very much a possibility for me to nab. I won't be able to supercharge like I wanted to this spring but when thinking realisticly about it, the supercharger would kill my car. But I spent alot of money, time, and effort on my z24 now, and am pretty attached. Though the Z24 vert would stay in my family as my dad's daily driver for his Solstice GXP. I just want to know what you guys think I should do... Keep the Convertible, or nab the LS Sport? I'm torn.

Which ever you feel is right. Go with what you want. Do you want to keep the Z that your attached to or do you want a more reliable car? Remember, your not going to keep either car your whole life.

how much is the '03 anyways?

Re: I need some help... Please everyone

go for the 03. i think the reliability and the fun of the manual tranny will grow on you. it will make it cheaper for you in the long run and im sure will ease your loss of ur z24, but its not like it will be totally gone, it will still be in the family. that and personally, i love the look of the ls sports, but thats just me. if you have the money, then i say go for it.

Re: I need some help... Please everyone

For as much as i have into my J, i could have 3-4 of those Ls sports you got there. Stock tho!

Honestly, i would pick up the eco ls sport. Hell look at me, i'm trying to swap one into my car.

Re: I need some help... Please everyone

Oh the fun I'll be having switching over what parts I can in the upcoming weeks. I can't wait to have both interiors pulled apart switching speakers and decks as well as my red gauges and red LEDs. But now I have a new problem to deal with... We're out of room at my house for cars without dominating the streets...

Will the ecotec be as quick as the LD9 in the z24? I know the horsepower is slightly less, but it weighs less itself. I thought it would be, just making sure.

Re: I need some help... Please everyone

Alright, I was quite upset. We called the dealership and the Black 04 Cavalier LS Sport was sold the night before I went to get it. Then... I was driving by my dealership/body shop and I notice a White Cavalier LS Sport. I go and look and talk to a salesman and the car only has 31k miles on it. So I was thinking I can't afford that. Then he tells me the car is only $7800. I got real excited but found out why, a good sized crack in the front bumper. They said they'd take care of it. I'm going to pick it up Monday . I'm not to crazy about white, but its unique around here and for the low milage and that price I can't say no. Pictures next week. Oh and the Z24 Covertible will be sold.

Over 130k miles. The transmission is very rough. ABS just went out (though thats being fixed now). Plus, theres a bit of paint chipping and dents that don't show up in pictures, but it bothers me because I'm very nit picky. And with the drive I'll have to be making daily for College, I don't think this car will last me much longer, So I'd like a new one before I start that. I'm gonna miss this car like crazy, but I hope someone else will apperciate all I've put into it. Its just time I suppose.

Re: I need some help... Please everyone

Actually, i might be getting a new J here myself too. Mum cannot have a manual transmission car anymore since she tore her meniscus in her knee. So i told her i'd give her the PT cruiser if she picks me up a 05 cav/sunfire manual.

Muhahahaha.
