Can Not Get In Car!! Help Sos!!

hey i can't get into my POS 1990 cutlass 2 door, we had a rank winter here in saskatchewan, and i triied getting into her in the morning, and i pulled handle and ping the white metal broke on the handle so i go to the other side, for only more dissapointment. so how do i get in my car now? i lucky she wasn't running....is there a way to open the door handle from the out side??? I have the time and tools plz reply... 2 door vertical handles

If you can access the main lever inside the door from the outside of the car then you can open it.
But from what I remember of these handles, you cant get to anything from the outside.

You might be able to fish the lever up with a coat hanger or call a lock smith and his slim jim should work.

Might even be able to access the cabin through the trunk area.

which cutlass exactly is this, Cutlass Ciera, Cutlass Supreme?

I'd suspect your doors were frozen shut when you broke the handles, seen it happen. This pic below might help you fish/figure out how to get it open, and this link.

thx man it did help i got into the car FINNALY ! TY TY TY TY i ended up using a tire iron and pryed the entire handle from the top and it broke in half and then pryed the bottom half till it broke right off car seen the metal rods and pushed it down it poped open...sure enoiugh the "white metal" had broke so i had to replace whole door handle anyways...its a 90 cutlass supreme international with a 5 spd HO 4 Banger.

I feel for You, I have a 1994 Cutlass 2 door. I had the same thing happen coming out of a casino in 112 degree heat in Las Vegas and broke both handles at the same time. They have a good price on replacement handles on E-bay.
