120K Maintenance
Hello all. I just clicked over the 120,000 with no problems. I am starting to get the maintenance done. So far I have changed:
Timing Belt w/ water pump Coolant Rear diff fluid Tranny service Power steering flush Replaced Idler Pully Replaced Serp belt Replaced PCV Valve Air Filter Oil Change I have new tires on the way because I know i need them here soon. Is there anything else that I am missing or should replace? I am going to have my brakes checked, but I think they are okay. If there is anything I am miss please let me know! I have the money and want to keep this things running like it should! Thank you in advance!

Re: 120K Maintenance
Wheel bearings maybe. I usually just replace them instead of repack if they are old.
Might think about ball joints. Not sure how long they usually last, I always end up with split boots which get junk in them and kill them. Check the cv boots closely, if they are starting to crack you might think about replacing them.

Re: 120K Maintenance
It might be worth changing the front O2 sensors too (even if it helps 0.2 of a MPG it would pay of quick with todays prices of gas).

Re: 120K Maintenance
You'll want to check your timing belt idler pulleys also. I just did my TB two months ago at 110K and one was a little rough, so I replaced both. Actually, I just pressed the bearing out of both and replaced it, much cheaper. Search my other posts for bearing pt# info.

Re: 120K Maintenance
Funny that you guys just knew that that CV boots were cracking. Not a few days after I wrote my first post, I noticed that I had a bunch of grease in my wheel wells. I got someone to replace the for me for $390 including parts. I am not too familiar with wheel bearings. Everything else is okay I think. I have been getting crappy gas mileage, but it's the winter blend.
Thanks for all the help!

Re: 120K Maintenance
about all you can do for MPG is to air up the tires, clean out the MAF, reset the ECU, and keep the PCV and EGR system clean (and take it easy on the skinny peddle).
