while trying to remove the steering wheel on my 97 firebird the main steering wheel assy. came off, but the steel flange that was rivited to the steering wheel stayed on the column.
Ive tried mouse milk, pullers w & w/o hammer and I have been unable to budge the flange. There are no threaded holes to use a Harmonic puller... Any help????

Re: Steering wheel removal problems
well since there are rivets and the only way to deal with rivets is to drill them out then i would say that u should drill them out. and if the column is to far gone scrap it and get another from the junkyard.

Re: Steering wheel removal problems
he said it was rivited to the steering wheel. not the column. so that would do nothing.
