p0753- shift solenoid A electrical
p0758- shift solenoid B electrical
the other codes might be slip codes. i would find out what the other codes r to be sure. try to look around online sometimes u can find websites that tell u what codes are. if your lucky the two solenoids might be just throwing the other codes. to get to them you have to take the side pan off where your driveshaft goes into. u can take the solenoids off without removing the pump. little clip just hold them in watchout that they dont flyout at you, hold the solenoid tight it might pop out, you dont want to loose the valve and or spring on the inside. if the other two codes r caused bythe solenoid codes when your done and have everything together unplug your battery terminals and touch the two wires together (not the battery itself) (just the wires) hold them for a few seconds, that clears the check engine light. i hope everythign works out for you

Re: 2001 sunfire tranny troubles

what tells the trans where you are with your shifter is your neutral safety switch, when you put it in reverse thats why your reverse lights come on. it could be a big possibility that, that switch could be bad. if you know someone that has a snapon scanner, there is a program where u can drive around and it tells u what gear your in what solenoids are on and off and your converter slip for lockup. its a pretty sweet set up i just used it on a 4l60e trans on a 1999 blazer. check that switch out and let me know what happens. im just throwing stuff out there, its hard to figure out without being there sometimes

electronic transmissions are tricky. you could have a bad ground somewhere that could cause a problem with a trans

im sorry its not called a neutral safety switch on that, it actually called the manual lever position sensor, which includes the neutral safety switch

ok i got two prices for the MLPS (manual lever position switch) with the neutal safety switch, the one has 2 connecters 7 and 4 pin for $110 and the other one just has one connector 11 pin and thats $75. you would have to find out which one you have
