1995 Safari Speed sensor

My trans and engine were acting up, and a buddy said he would fix it. He repaired the engine problem with a new fuel injector and a leaky fuel line inside the manifold. He then said the trans was shot and put in a 1993 used one. The vehicle ran great for 20 miles or so and then couldn't seem to find a signal as to when to shift. 2 new speed sensors later and 1 new computer , same problem. This 4.3 L v6 CPI runs and looks too great to loose. Thanks in advance for any help! Doc.

Re: 1995 Safari Speed sensor

I am just now looking in to some upgrades to my 4l60e gear box. I apears to me that the 1995 box is slightly different in the valve body. For instance, the valve body plate is unique for the 1995. I think that the 93 is a E box so the computer will shift it. The problem is the solenides (sorry I cant spell) and the valve body and the computer combination might not like one another. I am just guessing and giving you some thing to think about. Hope I can help.
