I don’t know about a 93 Tracer but my 98 Tracer I had to take the entire stupid oval console out… including the temperature, a/c controls defroster etc. Luckily it was fairly simple process but I managed to damage a cog that controls the temperature, it’s now stuck on cold (I’m in Florida so that’s not too bad). On mine there was a connection that ran from the console all the way down on the driver’s side to the right it connected to a box, it clicks in and out. If I had of disconnected that first I wouldn’t be stuck on cold.. If you have one of your Tracer, disconnect it before removing anything!!

Oh also don't forget to disconnect the battery as well, saves on buying new fuses
You could try
this site.. I know when I replaced my wife’s stereo on her 98 Saturn they gave a free guide with the stereo mounting kit. That was the quickest and easiest install ever, fitted very securely as well!! I really wish I had of used that site to buy the mount kit for my Tracer; instead I got the same thing a bit cheaper without any install instructions. Sometimes it’s better to pay a bit more to get/have it done right.
I have some pictures of my install, I don't know if they would help you or not? Let me know!!
