Intake Manifold Leak 41,000 Miles!

2003 Montana. I'm beginning to hate this vehicle.

Repair cost $875.00

Was a common problem on this engine. My mothers 02 made it to 53K miles. Gave me a weekend project I wasn't too happy about.

And my brother's 2002 was in a year ago for a flagrant blown head gasket case..of course the intake gasket was done at same time. Private shop. Total $1600.

My 2003 developed the same problem at around the same mileage and the dealer replaced both gaskets (only 1 leaking at time) and it was all under the power train warranty. I think some dealers are trying to cash in on a known problem with these engines.
