Which skyline and which STi?

You realise the Skyline has had several turbo versions since the late 80s, and the WRX STi has been around since the 90s in various forms.

are we talking skyline gtr or gts-t? the skyline had engines ranging from a 2.0 (rb20det) to a 2.6 (rb26dett)...so you need to be more specific

likewise with the sti...

another thing to consider is whether you are talking about the american market sti or the jdm/rest of the world version...americans got a 2.5 while iirc all other countries go a 2.0...

either way, it's not all that important when you can slap a larger turbo for either car that is much bigger than than the stock turbo.

id assume the new sti vs the newest skyline gtr (not to be confused with the gtr that came to the states)...the sti would have a slightly bigger turbo since the skyline gtr uses a twin turbo setup...

Re: which has bigger turbo, a skyline or a WRX STi?

There was a R30 GT model with a 3.0L RB30DET in it, then the R32 GTS-t had the 2.0L RB20DET and the first GTR had the RB26DET.
Then the R33 and R34 models of the GTS-t had 2.5L RB25DET.

I believe, and I could be wrong here, that the GTR actualy had the smallest turbos of all the different models, but only because there two of them, were as the GTS-t cars were all single turbo.

Even with in the same generation of the STi there were differences as there are also RA and RS spec sold in Japan.
