Just have a simple Q i got some clear paint from the hardware store and when i spray it on it turned out great but liek in a day or two the colour changed. eg red to clay red
The clear is Dulux Aqua something water base and the red i used was TS-49 Tamiya spray can sprayed red then after liek 30min sprayed dulux clear. Any suggestions on what had happened?? |

I do have an idea. Your paint types are incompatible, and you'll have to redo it. Though I don't quite understand what you mean by colour change... Pics?

Here is a picture of my experiment.
The spray can cap is what the colour is suppose to be close to. The model plastic is a wheel, is was sprayed with TS-49 then i used dulux clear to go over it. However i didn't prime or put a base coat on it before i put on teh red and the plastic at teh start was grey colour. (this might be the problem that it turned brownish. But i don't know. The IDE cable is another experiment i'm trying to do, same procedure as the plastic wheel however the IDE cable it self is yellow then i put more layer of red this time then dulux clear over, it has been half a day now and its still red and glossy. So is it the paints no compatitable or plastic has wrong base colour or not enough dryign tiem?? Any ideas?? Cause i'm just experimentign with stuff before i use it on my models don't want to ruin them
