Gsr
i have a question...
a car that is on my wanted list is the 94 GSR. every1 of my friends say that theyre faster than the other ones (stock) because of the "OBD1". but i have no idea what tha means. sum1 wanna help me out here? |

it has to do with the exhaust system (and restriction of it). Although im not sure fo the details, i know the obd2 (the newer one) had an o2 sensor in the cat. the cat is probably more restrictive in obd2 (which started in 1996). i cant imagine it have a huge difference in speed.

obd=on board diagnosis. the higher the number, the more sensors and therefore more restrictons to the ecu (not physical exhaust restrictions).
92-95=obd1, 96-98=obd2, 99-01=obd2.5, 02+obd3. This is mandated by the goverment to controll pollution. Generally it is easier to mod obd1, but the difference betwen the two inst enough to justify buying one over the onther if that is the only variable
