96 blazer leaking oil
Hi new here I own a 96 blazer with a 4.3 vortec. It seems to be leaking oil somewhere by the pass.side back top of the engine and my oil pressure gauge is now fluctuating at idle but stays steady when revving. any help greatly appreciated.I forgot to say that its not leaking badly, just a slow drip onto the exhaust.

Re: 96 blazer leaking oil
Could be a few things, and you'll have to look around the engine bay. A lot of us have had problems with the oil cooler lines weeping after a few years. Doesn't cause a lot of oil drip, but it's annoying. Check that your oil filter is not leaking (tight, but not too tight), oil drain plug not leaking, valve covers not leaking, so on. I would bet its one or all of your oil cooler lines though.

Re: 96 blazer leaking oil
Could also be the oil pressure sending unit or the intake manifold gasket. Clean the engine off with degreaser and watch for the leak.
