Can anyone run a VIN

Hey I come from the F-Body forums, and im looking to buy a 96 Chev and I was wondering if any of you can run a vin?

run it for what? if just looknig for basic info, a dealership would most likely do it for free in hopes of getting some of your business. if you want a carfax report, prolly gonna have to do that yourself and pay the $20.
