Who's REALLY Into Fixing Up Their Cars???

I'm sure we all are, but our budget only allows us to do so much, but I'm just wondering who wants to go all the way with their car, whether it be show or go.
I'm going for show, but I definitely wanna go far with it. I'd say, maybe another $30,000 and I'd be done with it. Of course it will probably take me 25 years to make that much money

That's cool. CRX's are pretty popular up where I'm at. Quite a few friends have them.

Id go all out on my Caprice if I had the money. Hell, id even get another car and go all out on it too. But at my current rate, ill be lucky to get the Caprice the way I want it before I expire

Making my car different from everybody elses is great, and I love doing it.

Well I am not into flashy all show cars. I would rather have one that looks fairly standard and just leaves what ever in its dust. So yea I in to performance modifications for sure.

I'm into go rather then show. I would like to one day have my 240 in the 10 second range in the 1/4 mile. I've started rebuilding a spare KA (engine in the 240) so far, but like you said in your first post, our budget only allows us to do so much.... so right now it's coming along pretty slowly

what he said. i'm all go, no show. and not in the 1/4 mile either. i'm talking road courses and drifting. while i don't own the car that i plan to modify yet (the hell if i'm putting money into the Tempest), i'll have it before spring and then the plan will go into effect...

I plan on buying an E30 BMW 3 series and modifying that next year when I'm down south at uni. Already discussed possible mods with Jimmy and Oz hehe

Plan well ahead, i say.

*edit* I'd be looking at more go than show. I'll do the go, then work on the show.

I'm looking at more go than show.

Hopefully the goal is to make 400hp at the wheels. I'd be happy with that.

When I get mine I will fix it up and enter it into the Summernats. I'm going to avoid the Autosaloon, Summernats could wipe its arse with Autosaloon I think I will end up getting a ZL Fairlane or a VG Valiant Regal coupe (like the one in Pizza, don't know if anyone besides Australia gets that show).

I would also like to. I think that right now I have went pretty far. I think I'm at the point now where I can do one of two things. 1)Make it a track only car, or 2) dump a ton of money into it(read $7k+) and keep it on the street. I definitely don't want a track only car. I would for sure put a lot more money into it if I wasn't trying to sell it this year though. And if for some reason I end up keeping then that's more than likely what I will do.

I have a project listing for a Nissan Skyline R32 or R34 GTR (it can be adapted due to initial Capital)
Another for a RX7 Type R
and Another for a Silvia S15 SpecR

i was going to do one for a civic but then i was like i want a car with A) turbo charger and B) RWD so i was like MEH and gave up.

But yea show and go is what i want. Well not show like but Aerodynamic pieces that help in an effort to keep the car planted on the road.
