how many miles is too many?

what i mean is, is it worth it to buy a car that has 100k miles and then have to put money into it every other month or look for a different car with like 60k and pay alot more? and would you have to put alota money into a car with 100k or is that still moderately low?

Re: how many miles is too many?

It depends on the car, but generally it is worth it to buy the car with fewer miles if you can.

Re: how many miles is too many?

I'd be worried about it. Sports cars are generally driven harder then your average car. 5,000 miles of your average sports car driving might be more like 6,000 miles on an average car.

I'm not 100% sure, but I didn't think 1990's Dodge's were particularly reliable cars either. If it was a Honda or Toyota, or perhaps a pre-Ford Volvo I might say 110,000 miles is ok so long as it gets inspected, but 110,000 on a Dodge Stealth is asking for it. Dodge's arn't my area of expertise however, you might want to ask in the Dodge forum.
