Flat bottom steering wheel recommendations?

What size in mm is the current Fitapaldi (sp?) wheel? I need something with a flat bottom for a little more leg clearance.

Suggestions?

Holy cow man... $300.00 for a steering wheel? Is that right?

Re: Flat bottom steering wheel recommendations?

^ Yeah... but I'm 6'4" 245 so fitting in the car and having leg room to heel-toe is the most important thing for me. I hate driving when I'm fighting my size in the car.

The ultrashield seat and a good wheel makes all the difference for me.

I understand completely... I have a 930 Porsche and my head (with helmet on) is so tight on the headliner that I have to bend my neck to fit. Very uncomfortable.

Re: Flat bottom steering wheel recommendations?

On the web I'm 6'3" 225 lbs with six pack abs....
Seriously, I'm 6'1" and in my '02 Z06 my helmet hits the headliner. While considering different race cars, I sat in a few Spec Miata's where my head was above the roll bar. I would have needed a special raised roll bar, and a Gurney bubble in the hard top. With normal roll cages, the Spec Miata's were not safe for my height.
Just another thing to love about these cars, they are so roomy.

Re: Flat bottom steering wheel recommendations?

^ Again same boat... w/ my stock seat my helmet was on the headliner, but once I put the ultrashield in w/ the hardbar seat rails it was like a new car, I had head room and my knees no longer fought with the steering wheel.
