windshield wipers won't go off!!

Hubby just got him a 1989 Ford Ranger. Well it has one problem .... the windshield wipers won't go off. It's like it is on the slowest speed about every 10 to 15 seconds they come on. Do you think it is just the switch? Is there a way to unhook the windshield wipers for now till we can get it fixed?

There should be a fuse for the windshield wipers, and it does sound like it could be in the switch

Re: windshield wipers won't go off!!

Any clue to where I can find a diagram of the fuse box? The cover is off the fuse box and I know that some cars have the diagram on the cover.

There is usually a fuse diagram in the owners manual or the box the fuses are pluged into might have words stamped into them

Re: windshield wipers won't go off!!

There was no owners manual and nothing on the fuse box. But I did find the Haynes book online at autozone's website ... Thank you for your help
