96 Sunfire keeps dieing when driving!

I have a 1996 Pontiac Sunfire that dies when driving. It will restart after 5-10 minutes usually, but sometimes it takes a couple of hours! It always starts in the morning or the first time we try to start it during the day. It doesn't die until we actually try to put it in gear and drive it.
Any suggestions?

How many miles? Have you tried replacing the fuel pump/fuel regulator?

Re: 96 Sunfire keeps dieing when driving!

We just bought the car six months ago. It has about 130,000 miles on it. I know the preveous owner replaced the fuel pump. I am not sure about the fuel regulator.

The anti-theft light keeps comming on and then it stalls. When the light finally goes off it will start again. Could it have something to do with the anti-theft system? We thought it was disconnected but not sure now. It is aslo doing this more when slowing down but mostly when not touching the break.
