Today i done kid housekeeping in the 'shop since I was busy lately. I wanted unmount the spray booth fan to remove some dust. I use it without filter, it just remove gas from inside and pull in the neighbour vegetables garden (LOL).
Ok have a look to all the crap I skip to breath in last 18 months approx (and you can't say I do tons of models...) The fan: ![]() Close-up: ![]() Fan-front: ![]() The hose: ![]() Folks: please wear mask and use spray booth . Hopefully the good modelers' God would guard us against those crap...

Mask is a must, even if you spray outside, like I do. All this gunk could by in your lungs!

Amazing, isn't it? And this just represents particulates- there are also of course the solvents! You don't want to be inhaling any of it.
18 months?? Come one, Gio- you need to be cleaning out your spray booth more regularly than that!

Re: Spray Booth 18 Month later, the hell :D
Thats the biggest reason why I try to make sure I run a filter on my booth. The buildup on the fan blades really causes a decrease in the airflow.
The fan I just got rid of on my booth looked a lot worse than that b/c I went about 4 months w/o running a filter. I had noticed a drastic decrease in airflow, as the buildup increased. |
