Ok so here's the deal. My cousin goes to a little college that has a well known rodeo team. He's going there so he can get his rodeo scholarship. Sounds simple right?

Ok, last weekend one of the kids on the rodeo team had a party at his house. As parties go it got bigger and the softball girls showed up. Well after a little while the softball girls got into a fight and there were about six of them fighting. Well the guy who owned the house didn't want a fight in it so he jumped in to break it up along with some of his friends, who are on the rodeo team.

Well the black softball girl in the group said she got hit by one of the rodeo boys. (NOTE: Later in the week they called all the softball girls in and they said the rodeo boys were just trying to break the fight up. They all said not one guy punched them.) There were also some football players there, also black. They decided to fight the rodeo boys since they supposedly punched this black softball girl.

The guy who owned the house jumped in and said he wasn't going to have any fighting and to take it someplace else because he wasn't going to have it. Well one of the black guys was mouthing off and wouldn't leave and was threatening to beat up someone. The guy who owned the house said, "either you leave or I'll kick your ass right here." The black guy didn't think much of it but this rodeo guy knew kick boxing and some karate and kicked this black guy's ass. That didn't sit well with the other black guys.

After that all the black guys, softball girls, and rodeo guys left the party. Later that evening the black guys came back to the guys house to start trouble. He walked outside with a gun and told them not to try it so they all left right then.

Well this past week all hell has broken loose.
At school the black guys have been hunting down on the rodeo boys and jumping them when they're alone.
Some of the black guys have called in some gang members from Tulsa and my cousin said there have been rumors of possible drive-by shootings on the rodeo team members.
Due to those rumors the school was put on lock down this past Friday because it was feared that could happen.
The school has told the rodeo team members to stay in large groups.
The school has also told the rodeo team members not to wear their rodeo jackets.
My cousin was in the student union eating lunch with some other rodeo team members and a bunch of black guys walked in, shut and lock the doors, and started to throw chairs around. The rodeo team coach walked in just in time and the black guys threatened him. The coach said he'd get them kicked off campus so they left.
When the rodeo team is in the student union in large groups the black guys leave them alone because they're outnumbered.
The rodeo team carries around pocket knives as they all use them for their classes. Well the school is thinking about taking those away.
Since a couple of kids have already got beat up, the school has told the rodeo team that if they're in a fight, even if they didn't start it, that if they fight as well they'll be expelled. So I guess they're suppose to lay down and take it.

So with all of this my cousin is really scared. As you can tell. What will be done though? Probably nothing because we all know if the tables were turned Jesse Jackson and Al Sharton would be all over that place. If the black kids get kicked out or anything I'm sure we could still see Jesse or Al down there screaming racism.

I must say that after hearing this, if Jesse and Al don't want their people to be known as worthless thugs, maybe they should stop their own from spreading that stereotype? Or is it even a stereotype in instances like these?

So what are your guy's thoughts on this? Who is the party more at fault and who is taking it way too far? Is there racism here or not?

Of course there's racism. Add too much testosterone to that and it's a bad situation. IF your accounts are accurate.

You say the rodeo team members have been counseled not to defend themselves and cower in large groups. What about the black players? Sounds to me like they have more free rein than the rodeo boys. This is already out of hand. Sounds like the school is afraid to discipline the black players.

I guess it'll take a drive-by to bring it to a head, since attacks and breaking property don't seem to do it.

Swigz, all you can do is teach your children how to be good people and how to behave. It's ultimately their call when they're on their own.

I'd like to say they are but I can't proove them to be 100% truth. All I do know is that my cousin was not at the party that started this whole mess and he has been drug into it.

Now while both parties could be at fault as much as the other, he could be spinning it to make his side look innocent. I doubt that but it could be.

What is known though is that none of the black guys have been jumped while a couple of rodeo guys have.
The school was put no lock down and it was not because of stuff the rodeo team started. That was due to the threat of possible gang violence.
The rodeo coach was threated by the black players. The football coaches were not threated by the rodeo kids.

Anyway, I just found out the school got extra security for the week due to all the troubles. However, today is the first day where that security is removed and the school is now stuck with their three security guards.

I find it curious that a bunch of bulldoggers couldn't find a way to even the score. I have to wonder if the campus admins think that, too, and are trying to keep them in line, knowing how well they would be able to deal with it if left to their own defenses.

If they're just trying to placate the race baiters, then shame on them for being such pussies.

There are effective ways for a school to fight gang warfare (which is what this is) which have worked elsewhere.

The school and the local police should get serious about this and start expelling/suspending/arresting them, combined with some decent security.
