How about this 1993 Thunderbird SC's price?

Ok found a red 1993 Thunderbird Supercoupe, Red, Gray leather interior. It has a few paint chips in the front but otherwise looks in good shape. Has 112,000 miles. The dealer is asking $1,995 for it. What do you all think about this price? What are some things I should look at real well if I decide to take it for a test drive???

I test drove the thunderbird yesterday. I think I know why its priced cheap. When dad and I took off in it out of the car lot, the car had a shake/vibration. It would do this when you press the gas wheather you are starting to go or if you are going 45mph and press firm on the gas. Dad said it might be the transmition or the motor is missing. It was doing it really bad at the trafic light. I thought it was going to stop running b/c the shake was so bad. It was in drive by the way..... So we took off and the shake stoped. Im not sure what was going on. I really like the car and hope its nothing big. Has anyone ever felt this???? Any ideas will help.

The temperature was around 27 degrees yesterday. Im not sure if it was the motor being coold that caused the bad shake or what. I have a feeling the car was driven by a kid b/c the tires were completly bald in th back and may have been wrecked at one time. Can anyone run the vin # for me to check things out?

I wouldn't buy it if your dad thinks the motor or the transmission is missing. I'm far from being ASE certified, but I think you might need one or both of those things. :P

i bought an 86 lesabre and felt a small vibration but the dealer said that the motor mounts were replaced and i took his word for it, well he lied and the tranny was toast very soon after. i hate car salesman... anyways the moral of the story is always check motor mounts...
