Nice start. Really like the look of this mini-ute design.
Want to see this one finished.

That is a badass drawing. Cool how you are brave enough to show the way you work. Most art people are in denial about tracing source photos. The confidence of your line is cool. Proves you can draw. I want to see you paint one of these.

Thank you, sir!

Vector? I use Bic Grip 'fine'.

And as for colour...still getting the hang of PS...5.5... Note quite there yet, but I do like how certain areas have turned out...always learning...plus I'm getting a little quicker at it.

Well, you've already seen my original blue pencil/black ink pen sketch, which I've scanned in colour mode, so you guys can see my process.

I've made a 2nd scan pass in B&W as an under lay for my actual PS work. The black line which you see, in my rendering, is the same line work from my first scan (except when you scan in B&W the blue line work does not appear giving you a cleaner line drawing).

I do the colour, keeping the original black line work as my final line...no vectors, just a good old Bic Grip fine point pen.

In PS, all the colour work is done on numerous 'layers'. My line work on the top layer, keeping it a crisp as possible.

Comprende?

Hopefully you're scratching your head a little less...

Nice, really like the look of the pen linework on top of the PS color layers.
It almost has a cell-shaded animation like look, very cool.
Very distictive styling.

When I was doing more stuff 'by hand', I always loved using a ballpoint pen for my lineart. It makes things so juicy.

What a great concept How about a beefed up turbo-diesel drivetrain for that puppy?

I love that 'juicy' line as well. Actually, I think I'm still way too tight...this is fun, but I also enjoy my looser stuff. Other-wise I'd be tempted to 'ink' one of these in Flash and then import it as a JPEG into PS...

Beefy diesel, eh? Well, I figure there's probably not enough room back there for a VW V10 TDI...but, how about a twin turbo version of the Audi 3.2 TDI?

Wow, good work, nicely done, clean and detailed.
But I don't like color-tinted windows on any car

Re: WIP VW Jetta/Caddy conversion...

Just some slight tweaks to the surfaces...not much, but they make a difference.

Comments/critique always welcome!
