Dash Light Question

Recently purchased 2000 LeSabre with no Owner's manual.
Dash has green indication that says:
"EXT oF"
I would guess this is suppost to indicate exterior temperature in degrees Farenheit, but there is no number shown on the display. Can someone clarify what this is for, and if it is for exterior temperature, how do I get it to display an actual number.
