Tachometer

I have a 1990 Dakota 3.9. I recently changed the battery and now the Tachometer doesn't want to work. Any ideas on what could have happened?? The owners manual mentions a fuse which checked out OK. Any thoughts?? Thanks

Not sure, the tachometer on these may just not be any good, mine quit years ago

Yeah i think the tachometers are bad, mine quit some years ago too
