No Heat IN MICHIGAN!!!
For a few weeks, it would take a while to kick on. (CRT screen had to finish the diagnostic check at startup or it wouldn't work). Sometimes when I would push the window button in the UP direction, the heat would kick on. Sometimes when I would slam the door hard, it would come on. Now-nothing. There is a little heat coming from the windshield/defroster vents, but it could be incidental/coming from the engine compartment. No defroster, no vent heat, no heater, no bi-level. Relay?
I'm sorry I post so many problems, but this doggone car is just one thing after another right now. Rolled over 228k yesterday. |

Re: No Heat IN MICHIGAN!!!
Turn the controller to High Fan speed, to see if the blower will come on. If not, check voltage at the fan terminal. If you have 12v on the terminal, tap the blower motor firmly, with a hammer to see if it will start. If not, suspect the blower control module. In addition, check all ground terminals!

Re: No Heat IN MICHIGAN!!!
Well, tapped the blower motor with a hammer and BINGO. It came on. If I switch it off high setting, it shuts off. Sounds like the blower motor, am I right?

Re: No Heat IN MICHIGAN!!!
YES, I think you have found the problem! Replace the blower motor ASAP, before it damages the blower control module!

Re: No Heat IN MICHIGAN!!!
FINALLY replaced the blower motor today. Kinda funny that the part says "Siemens VDO" all over it. Thats where I work, but no discount?
