1998 Sl2 Saturn Security System Programing

Heres A Hot Question ??? On A 1998 Saturn Sl2 With Factory Security System , How Can I Change The Programing , From Passive To Active ??? Also How Can I Turn The Mode On And Off ??? There Is A 1-800 # On The Side Windows , Which I Called And Is Disconnected . I Also Called The Saturn Customer Assistance # 1-800-553-6000 And After All The Prompts Got To Talk To A Tech , Who Tried Real Hard But Couldn't Help Me . I Then Called My Local Saturn Dealer And There Still Trying To Find An Answer , About 2 Weeks Now ???????? Thanks , The Saturn Nut

PASSIVE MEANS THE ALARM SETS WHEN YOU TAKE THE KEY OUT , ACTIVE MEANS THE ALARM SETS WHEN YOU LOCK THE DOORS , PROGRAMING THE REMOTES DOESN'T HELP ME , WHICH IS DONE BY PUTTING THE KEY IN THE IGNITION IN THE OFF POSITION AND THEN JUMPING #4 WITH #8 ON THE DATA PORT .THE CAR WILL LOCK , UNLOCK OR FLASH THE INTERIOR LIGHTS OR BEEP THE HORN , PRESS AND HOLD BOTH THE LOCK AND UNLOCK BUTTONS ON YOUR REMOTE UNTIL THE CAR RESPONDS , HORN , LOCKS , LIGHTS. WITHIN 60 SECONDS REPEAT FOR OTHER REMOTES NOTE YOU HAVE TO DO THIS TO ANY OLD REMOTES ALSO THE CAR WILL LET YOU PROGRAM UP TO 4 REMOTES ...
