Re: Transmission Control System??
Quote:
It is a OBD11 code to let you know there is a transmission code in the transmission computer. You will need a engine/transmission capable scanner to get the code. Find someplace that has one. And Get the transmission code and post back code no. MT

Re: Transmission Control System??
Hello,
I to have just purchased a 1996 blazer, LT package. The service engine soon light was on so I went and had the codes read. They were as follows, but I don't know what they mean or how much they will cost to fix. I hope this is not against potocol for posting, but if you have the same problem perhaps someone can help me as well. The Codes Are: P1886 - Transaxle Shift? P0700 - Transmission Control System Malfunction? P1100 - Unknown Manufature Code? Please if any one can tell me whats wrong, and ballpark cost of repair, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tim |

Re: Transmission Control System??
Welcome to AF
This post is a old and started by another person on another problem. On you problem start a new thread/post and someome one will help. But on transmission problems you need to get it on a transmission/engine capable scanner and get all transmission codes. Then go from there. The OBD11 codes do not help much on transmission problems.
