Auto lock/ Unlock 2005 malibu classic

I recently had problem with the battery and had to have it replaced, since then the locks are not functioning properly, they will lock normally when the car is put in drive , but wont unlock when the car is turned off. How can I fix this?

hello,
with the car in park go through the car's menu settings, u should find the options for automatic lock/unlock. any other ?'s let me know.

ok you have the 05 classic. i have the new 05, do you have the computer i have that not just monitors the car but also you can change your accessory preferences? my car i can tell it when to unlock and which doors. i can set it to unlock when i shift into park or change it to when i shut the car off with the key. i can set it so none of the doors unlock, all the doors, or just my door. if you have that option you just need to reprogram it it went back to default when you pulled the battery.

To the best of my knowledge, there was no '05 Malibu Classic, only '04. I think we're talking about an '05 Malibu (last-gen style).

There is an option in the Driver Info Center for lock/unlock options.

The Malibu Classic never had these options.
