Help!!! Any advice PlS!!
I live in Anchorage Alaska. I own a 2003 Yukon Denali and did I mention I'm currently deployed. My wife WAS starting my truck everyday using remote start. The problem is she let the truck run out gas!!! She put some gas in a gas can and poured that into the tank ,but when she tried to crank it, it would not start. She said its was trying to turnover ,but it wouldn't. She added more gas and still same scenario! Can anyone give me any advice on what could be wrong or What I could tell her to do as opposed to having the Truck towed to the dealer? Or do I have to get it towed to the dealer? Thanks

Re: Help!!! Any advice PlS!!
The fuel pump is actually cooled by the fuel in the bottom on the tank so running is dry can ruin the fuel pump. The fuel filter could also be plugged if there was sediment in the bottom of the tank.
A fuel pressure test should be performed and the filter should probably be replaced as a first step. //2000CAYukon |
