Re: painting the dash and console
Well there are alot of different things you can do to a dash.
1. Custom painting to mach the exterior of your car or truck. Ok first we will say the car is GL-Red and we will make the dash Gloss red to if you have ever used liquid mask http://www.thedetailer.net/ Now here's a place you can work wonders! Ok then first you need to paint your gauge cluster wich ever color the looks good to you for me I say (Wood Grain) with black just on the inside of the gauge housing. Ok now that that is done and dry use your liquid mask to cover all the pre-painted places. (Like you air vents ect.) once the mask is dry and your about to paint mount the dash to somting and paint it red and once it's dry pull off all the masking and you dash is just about done. now for something hard if your not up on your game this will seam to be hard to you (Pass it by) for the radio face you can use photo etch parts from DM-2530 (Radio Faces) ![]() And for some more to ad use DM-2380 (Interior junk)#1,2 ![]() If you don't want to go that rout just use some silver and white paint to do you radio parts, The white will act as your base to make othere colors look better. on the radio buttons just tuch in one spot with the white then let dry and put on the next color like gren or red. You do have some car magazines right well just look ion them to see if you can make your radio face look colse to the ones you see. The last thing that will help your radio look more real is the digital face on you cheaper radios. Mix green with white or light gray. and use a 0/1 or 0/2 paint brush to do all these types of detailing. Hope this helps you man.
