deck problems
ya i drive a 99 cougar and the deck area is too big to fit any new decks that i want(i think thats the problem meaning its too big). Does anyone know how i could get a new deck in there and what i have to do to get it done?

How is it too big? Your size code is "E" according to www.crutchfield.com and they usually don't screw things like that up. If anything, you'll need a dash kit.

you will almost assuredly need a dash installation kit, it allows you firmly mounrt the CD played and covers up any open spaces.

After seeing a pic of your dash, it looks like your car has a size DD chassis, no big deal. Get whatever you want (you could stuff a DVD monitor even) and get a dash kit along with a harness for your Cougar also. And, clearly, don't buy anything from that particular Best Buy.
