Re: My christmas present

Actives.. both emg 81s. Some people say the emg81 in the bridge is too screechy, especially for a naturally bright guitar like any RR shaped guitar. I beg to differ, with the bright emg81, my preferred eq really shines. Thats 'cause i like to stick the amp's bass at 10, with the mids hovering around 7-8, and the treble at 5. Then my distortion pedal(boss metal zone) comes into the mix, with its fixed settings, bass stuck at full, treble at around 8, with the mids at 5-6, to give my tone a little scoopy sound. With my old guitar equipped with the seymour duncan pickup, it got really muddy. (dont ask me why i still used that eq) With this guitar, i get a really nice tone, agressive, but not brutal-death-metal type agressive. Kind of like exoduses force of habit album.

BTW, esp rocks. I'm on the esp train now too, and i'm never getting off!
