Re: W211 problems

The 211 didn't come out till 2003, and they didn't put diesels, well usa versions any way till 2006. and working at the dealer i can say they realy don't have problems, the only thing i have seen them in there for is regular maintance. before purchasing tell who ever you want to take it to a dealer and let them look the car over, it is worth the 100 to 150 bucks to have the car checked out at a dealer before spending thousands, unless you are buying from a dealer all ready, get the MB warrenty that they offer it is worth it should any thing go wrong.

Re: W211 problems

sorry for being a few months late.

he's probably talking about a 210. just didnt know, or something. the diesel in the 210 is a beautiful engine. have the tranny double and tripple checked, though. im on my second transmition in my 210, the first died at about 120K miles. giving credit to mercedes, though, it may have been because the first was never seriviced by the 1st owner.

*sigh*, they just dont make them like the 123's any more.

but i love the 210/211. great looking cars, and beautiful interior. nice engines, especially if you can get ahold of one of the early 210's that still has the i6.....

;D
