2002 civic LX mods

I am having lots of trouble locating aftermarket parts for an auto 2002 civic LX coupe. If anyone knows website where I can buy parts for my car, please let me know. Also, I read something about a website article about Short Ram air intakes not making a difference...if anyone knows where I can find this article, please let me know.

I would wait a few months for more companies to make parts for your car. 1 because you will have more choices, and 2 stuff will be cheaper if there's more out there. I have a friend with a 2002 civic and he bought lowering springs, but no shocks because they don't make em yet, and that was a big mistake. Now his shocks feel ike they're gonna explode. He bought a universal muffler and had a custom exhaust made. Now he's got a little rattle cuz a little piece of welding came loose in the middle of the A pipe. For now I would just do stuff that is not dependant on what kind of car you have, like rims, and stereo.

That brings me to another question. I hear that civics rattle lots with big subs? Is this true and would it be hard to get the rattling out of the dash, trunk, etc. What would you guys suggest for a system in a civic. I kinda wanna keep my stock head unit, but I understand it has to go.

Most cars give you a rattling when you put a system in. Are you putting it in yourself, or are you having it installed? If you are having it installed, you can have the people dynamat it, and that should get rid of MOST of the rattling. You can also use something called expanding foam, but that is kinda messy. I know a kid who got everything in his car professionally installed. a $7000 stereo system, and there was still a tiny bit of rattling. You can't get rid of it totaly.

Well, I do plan on doing it myself. I've seen auctions on eBay selling this dynomat stuff....does this just go in the trunk under ythe carpeting?

It goes everywhere you hear a rattling. actually, it serves two purposes. If you line your trunk with it, it thelps a little with the rattle, but also when you got your subs facing the back, it bounces off the dynomat and gives you a much deeper/better sound. you can put it anywhere in your car. you can line your trunk with it, you can take off the door panels, and line it with dynamat. It can pretty much go anywhere you hear a rattling
