This can depend. If someone works hard for what they have, then I believe they definately deserve to have it. If someone leeches off of others for things that they want then no, I dont think they deserve it.
I believe I have what I deserve, and deserve what I have. I work hard for everything I have. My last paycheck went to by myself a new coat (150 columbia) because my old one which I also purchased finally crapped out on me. I paid for all the cloths I wear. All my things which I do for hobbies such as cycling, and PS2, I paid for. I worked two jobs one summer just so I could buy a Cannondale Road bike. I really do think I deserve what I have.

What does the average person deserve?
A warm dry place to sleep. A couple of decent meals every day. The right to express their opinion. Safe drinking water. Protection for their family and possessions. Treatment and support in times of ill-health. Yes,I have all of those.And more. And the 'more' items,well I deserve to have them because I have worked damned hard for the last 20 years in order to pay for them. The one thing that I have been struggling to find,companionship,I believe I deserve,but I realise that there's no guarantee with such things.I am fortunate enough to have two brilliant kids,and the love and affection that I have shown them has been returned many times over.Materially speaking,life is good,and I deserve it that way.Emotionally speaking,I'd rather leave it to someone else to decide whether I put enough into my relationships to deserve happiness from them.

I have much more than I deserve, but because of my first world entitlement mentality, often think I deserve more. No, actually, I don't think I DESERVE more, but I expect more. This thread has made me question that. I have everything (and LOTS more) thata person needs to be happy, content and comfortable. However, my next few big purchases I will deserve because they will not be handed to me, I will work my ass off for them.

I have what I deserve & deserve it but I can't shake the feeling that I don't deserve it. That's how I've been all my life unfortually.

What I have I deserve and what I will get in the future will be the same. I work (now we, with my wife) work for what we want and deserve to get out what we put in. I am so tired of people who feel they deserve something for just existing.

possessions...yes
i don't own much just a few luxuriesthat i worked hard to get starting when i turned 16 and the folks would let me work i saved for my sentra and more recently my mustang and i got a tv and a ps2 somewhere inbetween those two but as for do i deserve what i have...not realy i have the right to say what i like and not worry about my government hearing me. i have the right to praise any god i like. i have freedom to do with my life what i please and not have someone telling me what to do, and a lot of people have died hoping that this way of life would one day be a reality and i have done absolutely nothing to deserve such a privelege.

everything i have i have worked hard for and im still working hard for the future, sometimes i see others alot better off then me and i envy them but then i look at what i do have and truth is its all the same (i stil envy alil but). as long as your happy then you deserve it. what alot of ppl are forgetting is, just dont take for granted what you already have... most of us will have more then we will ever need. some times i feel like im on top of the world but that is easly taken away. just dont forget what you already have...
