tire advice

I have a 99 k1500 burb. This is the first truck/SUV I have ever owned. I'm looking to get a new set of tires 245/75/16 for this beast. Here are the driving conditions I will be dealing with. Living in a ski resort in the southern rockies we average 200 inches of snow a year, ranging from dry powder during the winter months to wet heavy snow in the spring months. In the summer months with the monsoons we have to deal with mud (and lots of it). I also plan to taking the burb on some of the jeep trails so the tires will need to be an "E" rating. Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: tire advice

I have two reccomendations for year-round tires. Either BFG Commercial Traction T/A, or BFG A/T.

For really deep or slippery mud, you may need a true mud tire. I have BFG M/Ts on my truck and they outperform almost all other tires of the same size. They are absolutely terrible one packed snow/ice (as are all good mud tires)

Why do you want a load range "E" tire for offroading?

Why's that? I had Wally World install a set of Uniroyal Liberators (265's, load range E) on my '98. They work great on dry roads and in the snow. A little over $500 for the set with lifetime balance, rotate, road hazard, etc. So far they've been great all around.
