New Ranger
hey guys, the reason Im over here is because my dad wants to sell his 1986 ford f150xl and is considering buying a ranger. He wants a newer one, 2004-2008 model year. He wants the 2.3L I4 with a manual trans and 2wd.
He requested me to do some internet searching on this configuration. I was just wondering if you guys knew of any issues with this motor/tranny that I should watch out for. He also wants to be able to change his own oil and wants to make sure that to reach the filter you dont have to break your arm in 8 idfferent places. You guys know of any place I could get any info on reliability ratings for the 2.3 I4 and also maybe a picture of the oil filter location? Thanks!
