electrical Grimlins
Hi folks, I have a 1995 GrandAm SE with a 3.7L v6. The break lights and blinkers are not working. The third tail light works. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Just a hint. The turn signal lever contains a ton of electronics. In this year they seem very frail as well. I am on the forth one in my car. The factory installed one started on fire and melted. Fortunately it was the day before my warranty expired and Pontiac fixed it under warranty. The only help I have ever gotten from the bastards!
When it failed next it took out the headlights...only way to get headlights was to turn on high beams. Replaced it myself with a dealer part for $75.00 The next time it failed everything but the horn was working and that problem was eventually traced to the damn lever. Replaced it again ...a year later and now the part magically is $125. See a pattern here? Wonder why GM doesn't admit the pattern? Will a buy another GM car in my lifetime ....NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. As crazy as it seems...check out that lever...its probably where your problem lies. Good Luck!

Re: electrical Grimlins
Try replacing the signal light flasher it is located under the dash on the driver side. some times when these go it will interupt the break lights and the signal lights. or you could try look at the fuse

Re: electrical Grimlins
Also check the wiring where the body harness connects with the taillamp harness. These are known to corrode, and cause the symptoms you describe.
