Lightbulb 1997 T-Bird Starting Intermitent Starting Problems

I have a family member with a 1997 T-Bird. It does not always start. A mechanic has checked it and driven it for the last 3 months and it starts every time. My daughter-in-law drove it for a week and guess what - it would not start. Sometimes if it sits for an hour, sometimes longer, it will start right up. Only thing she did different than the mechanics was to listen to the radio.

Any one got any ideas????

Thanks,

Have the battery "load" tested to check it's condition.

Re: 1997 T-Bird Starting Intermitent Starting Problems

I had a starting issue with my 94 tbird, It ended up being corrosion on the wires at the starter. Bought a replacement and it came with a letter from ford telling me that they knew about the problem, and included a replacement wiring harness with starter.
