Best bang for UNDER $7500
apparently I have offended some of you by asking which car would give me "the most bang for the buck." I will rephrase my question, "which automobile will be best suitable for a driver looking for an overall high performing machiene, while at the same time taking into acount a limited budget?"
thanks and sorry for any offense taken |

I would say either an old RX7 Turbo,300ZX Turbo or Supra Turbo.

supra turbo-under $7500? I hope your talking about previous generation supras, they are heavy and not all that great.
300ZX- they are heavy, the engine bay is cramped, finding a good condition z even with about 80k miles on it will most likely cost you more than $7500. The RX-7 would be a great choice, rotaries can be really reliable when cooling is kept in mind when modding, but if your not familier with rotaries then don't plan on buying a super high mileage rotary and think you can use it as a reliable daily driver without any worries. My best bet would be a DSM. For example I've seen eclipse GSX's (1st gen) with under 60k miles for around 6grand, your getting a 4G63,Turbo,AWD and it's fairly light compared to the other cars. |

DSM's are a good bang for the buck...not sure if its the best or not though. Check out this site to get an idea of how much you'll be spending for what. http://buschurracing.com/upgrade.html

I would say DSM's. Look around a little and you'll find parts alot cheaper than at Buschur. If your mechanically inclined or willing to learn, you can't beat these cars. You can pick one up in good shape for 3-5k (1gen) and put a couple thousand into it and you'll have a 12 second car with AWD.
$700 Big16g turbo with 34mm flapper $300 550cc injectors $85 Fuel pump $250 Full 3" SS exhaust(assuming you know how to weld) $300+ Big FMIC core(you weld the piping) $300+ Apexi S-FAC $400 ACT 2600# $200 Dejon intake and 2g MAS? $150+ Boost, A/F, EGT gauges |
