Have No Dash Lights! Please Help.

Recently the dash lights went out on my wifes car. So I put in a new Headlight switch. Just the other day they went out again, so I proceeded to put in a new headlight switch. That wasnt the fix this time. Let me also tell you that they will come on if you push the rear defroster button. That leads me to believe that it is a ground issue.

Any info would be helpful.

Thx Matt.

Re: Have No Dash Lights! Please Help.

I have the exact same problem! I also noticed that while installing the switch if i touched the self cancelling knob to the steering column the horn would sound... Let me know if you figure out the fix before I do!

Re: Have No Dash Lights! Please Help.

I found the INST lights fuse blown in the fuse box and replaced, which brought the lights back. The problem seems to be a faulty dimmer switch however, it seems I have to remove the entire front half of the cab in order to get to the dimmer switch, so instead I just sprayed a whack of WD40 into it and ran it back and forth a couple times. Hopefully, this will fix the problem.
